In this simulation, you will work as a VC Analyst. As a VC Analyst, these are your day-to-day responsibilities:

Engage actively with innovative entrepreneurs, diving into their businesses and understanding their vision.
Identify and scout new startups, adding fresh and exciting prospects to the investment pipeline.
Conduct thorough market research to uncover trends and opportunities in the tech landscape.
Participate in initial deal screenings, company calls, and analyses, laying the groundwork for potential investments.
Assist in the due diligence process, ensuring thorough and accurate evaluation of potential investments.
Prepare detailed presentations and reports, contributing key insights for investment committee decisions.
Work closely alongside the team to support and enhance the growth of existing portfolio companies

Simulation Context

You recently joined to 212 as VC Analyst. 212 is an investment company that focuses on backing and funding technology enterprises, specifically in Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, and the Diaspora focusing on Seed/Series A stages.

After a warm welcome, you are asked to identify, scout, and analyze new startups to expand 212's pipeline.

Tasks

In this simulation you’ll have 3 tasks.

Deal Sourcing: Find six promising startups from Turkey, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the Turkish Diaspora regions (2 startups from each region, 6 startups in total) and fill dealflow template.
Startup Analysis: Pick one of the startups you've found and prepare a one-pager to summarize your findings and share with your team.
Founder Outreach: Devise a strategy for initiating contact with the startup's founding team and craft a message.
