Role

In this simulation, you will act as an Associate Consultant (AC). This role at Bain & Company is responsible for the below:

Working on a case team with three to five other consultants, owning a distinct aspect of the project.
Taking charge of identifying information sources, gathering and interpreting data, executing analysis, and presenting findings to case team members and client stakeholders.
Interviewing clients' customers, competitors, suppliers, and employers—work that will become the basis of the case team's strategic recommendations.
After accumulating appropriate experience, taking responsibility for supervising more junior ACs.

Simulation Context

The client for this project is one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges and has been evaluating a potential market entry to Turkey, with a specific focus on key players as well as growth drivers and consumer preferences.

You, as an Associate Consultant, will be part of the case team and work on a due diligence project to assist the client with their market entry decision.

Tasks

In this simulation you’ll have 3 tasks.

Market research: Research the cryptocurrency market in order to understand whether the Turkish market is attractive in terms of adoption or not.
Slide preparation: Create a data visualization and design a slide deck to organize the information visually.
Progress presentation: Update your manager on your progress while keeping the best communication practices in mind.
